I worked full-time for a while teaching and loved it to bits. But teaching was all-consuming so my hobbies (photography and blogging) fell to the wayside for a while. And then once teaching was done and I had free time to blog and photograph again, I felt like I couldn’t get right back into where I left off because something felt different. Turns out, it was me. The kind of photographer and blogger I wanted to be wasn’t what I used to be, so my old blog felt very bleh and I didn’t want to touch it.
So for a while, there was a lot of radio silence, a lot of contemplation- a lot of blog-studying to really get a feel of what I wanted to do, all the while being too scared to begin. The worst/best is always the beginning, isn’t it?
Then one evening in the basement of a restaurant I decided I didn’t want to let the fear of starting again stop me from getting back into the wacky online world of blogging I’d missed, so took the scary plunge and created a brand new blog.
Where my eyes go.
The answer to a question I had been asking for months.
So really, there is no formula for starting a blog (or in my case, restarting) You just have to…start- and that is the toughest bit.
Thank you so much for reading! If you’re a new face or an old friend, I hope you’ll continue to follow along.
